Congress created the Solar for All program, and EPA awarded these funds so that Connecticut could help low-income residents save millions of dollars on their energy bills. Trump cannot unilaterally reverse course now, and we’re suing to make sure Connecticut gets every penny we are owed.
Donald Trump’s irrational fixation on renewable energy is costing all of us. Just like with Revolution Wind, Trump is trying to tank our opportunities to secure clean, affordable energy and keep us dependent on fossil fuels and foreign oil.
Just sued the EPA for illegally ending a $7 billion program that lowers energy costs and pollution by bringing solar energy to more than 900,000 households in low-income and disadvantaged communities across the country.
This is nothing more than a thinly-veiled pretense to attack fully lawful efforts to support diversity, equity and inclusion.

The Trump Administration will not be happy until they are sitting in the Admissions Office hand selecting which MAGA-approved students are given acceptance letters.
I’ve joined with 18 attorneys general opposing the Trump Administration’s proposal to require colleges and universities to submit data linking race to admissions, financial aid and student performance.

Ten Attorneys General Condemn Trump Attacks on Nonprofits' Freedom of Speech

...In a country founded on the right to hold different opinions than the king, the President’s shameless attempt to punish nonprofits and charities who may not co-sign his extremist agenda is deeply un-American...

Our message to the nonprofits and charities we oversee is: You keep fulfilling your missions, and we will keep fighting against attempts to weaponize the government to suppress your legitimate activities and constitutional freedoms.”
It is a chilling abuse of prosecutorial power that will inflict permanent damage on our legal system. Today, it is Attorney General James. Tomorrow, it could be any one of us. It’s on all of us, regardless of party, to stand up and say this is wrong.
This baseless indictment is about one thing-- revenge. It is certainly not about facts, reality or justice. This is Donald Trump abusing and commandeering the justice system to bully and silence his most formidable opponents.
This is a dark moment for the American justice system and our democracy. I have worked alongside Letitia James for seven years. She is as tough and as fair as it gets, and a leader amongst attorneys general on both sides of the aisle. I stand with her unequivocally in this moment.
Donald Trump will not stop at Los Angeles, Chicago and Portland, and I stand with state attorneys general and governors from across the country in urging the court to uphold the rule of law.
The President’s lawless justifications are built on extremist fantasies completely untethered to reality. His actions are endangering lives, causing needless chaos and fear, and undermining the vital function of the National Guards.
The deployment of American soldiers against American families on American soil is antithetical to who we are as a country and a democracy.
The American Dream is under attack, and I have never been more resolute and determined to fight for its promise.
I saw my parents fight for every inch for me and my sisters. So that in just one generation, I could go from the back of my parents’ hot Chinese restaurant kitchen to the Attorney General of our great state.
My family’s American Dream is not and should not be remarkable. It is about every immigrant family arriving here with empty pockets and nothing guaranteed but the promise of possibility for those who fight for it.
And because of that, we will continue our fight, to vigorously and relentlessly defend our nation of laws, and the safety of our families.

Never give up, never surrender, never back down.

It’s clear however, that we have a President who neither understands nor respects our laws, who has hardened himself to the suffering and destruction he needlessly inflicts on American children and families.
This opinion is as clear as it gets—there is just zero legitimate debate on what our constitution says about birthright citizenship. This was not a close call. If you are born on American soil, you are an American. Period. Full stop.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit has affirmed a nationwide injunction preventing President Trump’s unconstitutional birthright citizenship executive order.
G'mar Chatimah Tovah to those observing Yom Kippur.
We will continue to vigorously defend our state’s commonsense gun safety laws and our state’s ability to protect against gun violence.
This strong decision acknowledges what is plainly obvious for all to see—state parks can be crowded places visited by children, and there is a well-established history of laws prohibiting firearms in such areas.
More guns in more public places is not the answer. Not ever, and particularly not right now.
