That said, there's definitely some shenanigans going on rn with the new system and lurkers, and its valid to be concerned

These stats are more relevant to the pre-anti-bot panic that was based on this "PSA" w/ bs stats

Redid the math, but, yeah, my original point is the same.

Overall about 13 mil channels. 0-5 is about 12 mil so if you make exactly 5CCV you're in the top 7%. A single bump to 6 puts you in the top 5%-ish of all streams (within the last 180 days)

Like, there's enough evidence at this point to almost irrefutably prove that the anti-bot measures are way too harsh and not counting lurkers for some reason.

We don't know why, and we may never know why.

Theorizing can be helpful, but jumping to conclusions is not.

Don't get me wrong, Twitch has REALLY screwed things up with the new anti-bot measures

But EVERY time they make some change, misinformation gets spread like wildfire & just makes the situation worse
