Continuing my "3 Questions" for each Celtics player, today I looked at Anfernee Simons.

One dribble on the break. That's just beautiful basketball!

The sooner the Celtics stop messing around and move Pritchard back to the bench and start Simons, the better.

This can't be about Payton's ego

Some of my notes from last nights game. Tough loss, but lots of positives to take away.

Will have more thoughts in today's newsletter.

I just clicked into a random political post to prove my point.

This was the top comment
Both. And I'm talking like flat out ChatGPT driven responses or posts. They're not even editing it to try and hide it lol.
We're at the point on Twitter, where I'm seeing more AI generated posts and/or replies than ever before.

I truly don't understand the value of that, in any shape or form
Haha, I'm exactly the same - people accuse me of singling him out all the time.

Yeah, you're right there, defo missed a few on weaknesses. I just saw someone doing this format and really wanted to try and learn it.

Overall, though, i'm not hopeful with him at center
Neemias Queta is stepping into a WAY BIGGER role for the Celtics this season.

Here's a quick breakdown of his strengths, weaknesses, best roles, and projected position in the rotation.
That is very true! And it's the best way to look at it for sure...Thanks, Joao! I hope you enjoyed yours, too!
Thanks, Joel! Although, I'm sure some would disagree (it's only natural) but for sure! I'm excited to chop it up all season
Thanks, Amanda! I appreciate you too!
I appreciate that! Hopefully I keep fulfilling my side of that bargain
I don't know when it happened, but Birthdays are bittersweet now...Like, yeah, I'm happy it's my birthday, but I'm also mortified that I'm even older.
I’m incredibly fortunate to write, talk and post about my favorite team each and every day.

The road so far has been anything but smooth, but life is messy. Can’t wait to see the growth over the next 7 years…and hopefully the decades after that.
And lots of hurdles to overcome — my accent and the nerves about it. The time difference. A 2 years doom loop over social media. And losing a podcast feed and YouTube channel I had been building for years.

Still, I LOVE doing this. Basketball has been a huge part of my life for 30 years or so.
I’m heading into year 7 of *trying* to cover the Celtics from afar.

Lots of ups — Hayward interview, Media for Lakers/Cs, working with everyone at CelticsBlog

Lots of downs — 4 of those 7 years were toughest of my life. The feeling of being on the outside due to location. Self-sabotage online.
Oh, he got a jetpack on his back for sure
Celtics Preseason Risers and Fallers

Risers

- Josh Minott
- Hugo Gonzalez
- Chris Boucher
- Luka Garza

Fallers

- Anfernee Simons (Hot take? - Lack of ball-handling + defense)
- Jordan Walsh (injury induced)
- Baylor Scheierman

Jury's Out

- Neemy
Thanks, Joel!

I think there's value to having something repeatable, where people know what to expect the day after a game. And it leaves enough meat on the bone for additional dives the day (or two) after :)
