Bangladesh needs bold reforms, not just to ensure free and fair voting, but to restore trust in democracy, uphold human rights, and give voice to the people. The world is watching. The people are waiting. 🇧🇩

We had to cancel our canvassing on Althorpe Street today, turns out the only thing doing the rounds was the rain! The heavens opened up and absolutely soaked it. ☔💦

Great to have Warwick join Cauldwell councillors this morning! We had some brilliant doorstep chats with residents, listening to concerns and views. Issues raised will be followed up, and we’ll keep everyone updated. Sunshine made it even better!

Had a wonderful time celebrating VE Day at the Jubilation Centre with Muskan and Maya! Huge thanks to Dave Hodgson, former Mayor of Bedford Borough, for the kind invite and for organising such a fantastic event—great atmosphere, lovely people, and meaningful memories.
Leafleting: when you can walk the walk & talk the talk—without saying a word!

Happy St George’s Day!

I wasn’t born in England, but it’s the place I’m proud to call home. Today, I celebrate the values that make this country special—kindness, courage, and unity.

England is stronger because of its diversity. We all belong.

Day 2 of my evening walk journey—clocked in 8,480 steps today! I’m aiming to average 12,000 steps, and I know I’ll get there… slowly but surely, one step at a time (pun fully intended!). Loving the fresh air, the headspace, and all the health benefits that come with it.
Happy Easter from your Cauldwell Councillors!

Wishing all our residents in Cauldwell Ward, across Bedford Borough, and around the world a joyful Easter filled with hope, peace, and new beginnings.

From Cllr Abu Sultan, Cllr Fouzia Atiq & Cllr Harish Thapar — Happy Easter!

Just finished a relaxing evening walk after dinner—almost an hour and 6,483 steps!

A post-meal walk comes with plenty of health perks: it aids digestion, helps manage blood sugar, supports heart health, and even improves sleep.
Had my weekly catch-up with ACFO Jim Davies & AC Stuart Auger @BedsFire.

Top of the agenda: the amazing news that Universal Studios is coming to #Bedfordshire!

Exciting times — growth, challenges, and BFRS is ready to meet them as part of #TeamBedfordshire.
