Day 16 of new cats, Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform and Lily are pretty comfortable with the house and hanging out outside of the bedroom safe spot. They're still very jumpy around people but they're getting better. They want belly rubs so much. And they get serious air time when hunting their toys.

Tateishi: Yeah, my thoughts have changed since I met you and became more aware of how people felt. But even when I was at Konami, I didn’t even bother telling anyone I did Mega Man 2. So the fact you came all the way to Japan to tell me these things makes me very happy I worked on the game all those years ago.

Day 1 and the cats are settling in very well. The boi needed some time to come out of his shell, but both are getting more comfortable with us. I've never seen cats so excited for belly rubs before. Voids are hard to photograph.

We've chosen our name for the lad: Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform.

We got two new cats! Both voids, about 3 years old, a bonded brother/sister pair. One is super friendly (pics 1/2) and the other is very shy (3/4). It's day zero so they're still feeling out the safety of our room. Names are in the works. They are chonky.
