If you’re going to use AI, maybe just be honest about it? So writers who want to avoid it can take their work elsewhere.

Disappointing to have reached out to a market specifically asking about AI, being told they do not use AI and support human writers & artists to the best of their knowledge, then see several pieces of art attached to stories that very clearly have AI art and no attributed artist. Not good. 😖

Every year I address this on the parent survey. It’s so frustrating. I think the majority of parents think technology = better but don’t understand the developmental implications of not consistently working on fine motor skills. The brain/hand connection is strong. Schools give in to parents a lot.

I just checked the word count on my running list of speculative story ideas and it’s at 19k. 😅

These aren’t even all the ideas I have in my notes app. Many others have gotten their own note doc, for some reason. 🫣

Managed to split my time between the novel and prepping for a short story revision. Also a quick pass on two stories to resubmit because, oof, rejections. Gets a little sad when you start to run out of markets for a story you love. Maybe I'll get around to that collection someday and put it there. ✌️
