Can I just say #revpit editors emailing those of us that didn't make it are wonderful angels? When I wasn't picked it was easy to stop believing in my writing/book. Validation should come from within and all but alas I am human. Then to find out I made a longlist and 2 shortlists?? HUGE THANK YOU 😭❤️

Good morning, Campers! Today, we focus on your MC. Share a line from your manuscript that tells us all we need to know about your MC's personality.

On the same grassy green hill beneath a starry night sky, the firefly clings to a branch and dangles a tied stack of story notes from a stick with the label “Darlings” written on the top page. The caterpillar reaches for the tied bundle of notes with mouth wide open, ready to chow down. Behind the tree, which still has bite marks from the caterpillar’s previous meal, the mantis holds her claws to her face in dismay. Dawn is beginning to tint the horizon red.

I'm more than halfway through my second to last edit before querying! i.e. I'm on my way down the mountain and the finish line is in sight if you squint. I'll have to double back around with my weedwhacker to cut a bunch of unnecessary words though 😅

Aw thanks, I'm always looking for CPs! I like a mix of cozy games (on switch) and simulation games. I just got INZOI and have been playing that like crazy. Also the occasional single player RPG, like Dragon's Age. What about you?

I’m a mix of both, a plantser! I like to get going with a light outline to start. It’s very general with not much detail, more of a guideline to follow that is very flexible. Then I discovery write on the many parts the outline doesn’t cover
