Hi friends. I'm not really posting here because I've moved through and past my Posting Openly On The Internet Era, but I check in occasionally and DMs are always here. ❤
Having met your mother I can confirm this for the general internet. 😂
My new thumb tendinitis send you deep sympathies.

Frodo wakes. ‘Where am I?’

‘In the House of Elrond. It is ten o’clock in the morning. The morning of October the twenty-fourth, if you want to know.’

‘Gandalf!’

‘Yes, I am here. And you are lucky to be here, too, after all the absurd things you have done since you left home.’
I'm kinda not surprised....the pendulum swing is happening pretty hard these days.
I don't, for two reasons: I have really sensitive skin and it feels like a bad idea sticking ink in it, and I can't decide what I would want where.
Anytime *that* side of the family comes to mind I do not consider it non-threatening, lolol.

The veil can shake the wrinkles out and act right, thank you.
I had a dream the other night that my cousin and I were moving into my grandmother's house and picking bedrooms. We sold that house 15 years ago and I haven't spoken to this cousin since Grandmommy's funeral. What the *fuck,* brain.
How could we possibly ever plan for something like this? ❤
I'm so old I remember crying over Dan Rather crying while reciting this verse on Letterman after 9/11. Related: still cannot sing this verse without choking up myself.
Cheers for your uncle doing this hard thing for you all. ❤
Belated Thanksgiving plate pic. Prettiest Thanksgiving plate I've ever eaten. Every bite was delicious.
Turkey Lurkey (Canadian) Time!
I just can't eat that much carb at once anymore. Bagels have become a very rare treat. Woe.
I'm losing the election, because I'd rather have a BECSPK on a roll, hold the salt.
Tell me your bagel order and I will tell you *based on NYC cultural expectations* if you have won or lost your election for political office in NYC.
One of my favorite things about NYC is whenever anyone runs for office here they are required to disclose their bagel order.

Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

this is wisdom.
Far classier than the network deserves.
Hugs, friend. So many hugs.
Sending you hugs, friend.
apparently a South African pastor kick-started this particular round, but it's a regular cycle in certain sects. *shrug*
