Candidates and electeds shouldn’t stop talking about what’s relevant to their district, in fear that it will be played on Fox News and anger an Ohio Voter - it means we talk about what’s relevant matters.

“Moderate voters” or “swing voters” or whatever you want to call them are smaller clusters of that larger umbrella - & how we talk to them will be segmented.

Bullying messaging arm chair quarterback is irrelevant because “Land Back” is popular in some areas, & other areas it’s irrelevant.

Often I’m told that “voters don’t care about climate” or “voters won’t understand land back” or “addressing the climate crisis isn’t feasible”. - while a person and their friends may feel that way, people who know their districts know what conversations resonate along these topics & what matters.

This example brings up a series of issues.

1. Your pessimism of a situation, does not predict the political or functional reality of a situation.
2. Your lack of awareness of a policy or program- does not erase its existence.
3. Your perception of “voters” is not generalizable.

Someone told me that “Land Back isn’t happening - so we need to stop virtue signaling”. (A lesson on political messaging)

First, “Land Back” is the rally-cry for a variety of policy solutions for Tribal reparations.

It’s been 20 days since Arizona’s 7th District elected Adelita Grijalva, and Speaker Johnson still hasn’t sworn her in.

Meanwhile, federal workers are TWO days from missing a paycheck, and Johnson has House Republicans at home on an extended vacation.

Federal agents aren’t trying to keep the peace. They want violence to escalate so that Trump can declare martial law.

They shot a reverend in the head with pepper balls while he was praying in front of an ICE facility. If that doesn’t tell you where we are as a country, nothing will.

No, Speaker Johnson: The No Kings Rally on October 18 is not a “hate America” rally. Quite the contrary. It’s a rally of millions of people who believe in American freedom and are not going to allow you and President Trump to turn us into an authoritarian country.
