I hate to sound pretentious but this is pretty much why I just dabble in indie-gaming now.

Mainstream gaming has mostly become noisy, overpriced, derivative & creatively / morally bankrupt.

While indie devs are putting out the creative, artistic stuff I find engaging at an affordable price.
