A Walking Shadow by @sispurrier.bsky.social and @aaroncampbellarts.com: 8 strangers wake up chained to a boat in the woods. No memory. No escape. No explanation.
Out next year, email us now at [email protected] to add this series by some of our favourite Hellblazer creators to your pull list!
Carpeted terminals LaGuardia? Seriously? Are you fucking kidding me?!? Why don’t you put some goddamn sand dunes in here while you’re at it?
Oh, did I perchance show you my cover for Exquisite Corpses 8 from @tinyonion.bsky.social?
NEWS! NEWS! NEWS! If you’re going to be at @newyorkcomiccon.bsky.social you might wanna come check me out during the DC Vertigo panel on Thursday at 12:30 PM. Just sayin’
Might I also.
Might I recommend INFIDEL by @pornsak.bsky.social, @aaroncampbellarts.com, @josevillarrubia.bsky.social, and Jeff Powell, which is, by my professional opinion, the scariest graphic novel I've ever read. bookshop.org/p/books/infi...
Here’s a much better reproduction of my finish The Shadow cover quality commission. I do all of my final cover reproductions using a Fuji X–T4 and studio strobes all with polarizing lens and filters to get those darks as deep and rich as possible
AI ain’t got shit on the real thing.
Thank you! The Shadow was one of the earliest books I worked on
Yeah and few other things. But mostly acrylic.
Been working on this for quite some time, but it is finally finished. Cover quality Shadow commission
In my estimation, if the intent was indeed to be literally supernatural it would be a grave disservice to those who were murdered during the Salem witch trials and really tarnish my view of Roger Eggers. It would tantamount to lending credence to those whose accused the victims of the trials.
I see ever moment of perceived supernatural as the manifestation of an isolated and desperately, cultishly religious society driven so deeply to believe these lies that they will see the witch in themselves as easily as they will see it in themselves. It follows that exact same trail as Salem.
So horror film talk. I recently got into an argument - the academic kind - about the film The Witch. Me: Nothing Supernatural happens in The Witch. It is firmly about religious hysteria. Them: No it’s about actual witches. Watching it again I remain firmly in religious hysteria camp. Thoughts?
