This isn’t funny. Judges only speak to the press when they’re in extreme distress
More judges speak to the press (the NYT) about what a disaster the Supreme Court (specifically the shadow docket) has been - “incredibly demoralizing & troubling”; a “judicial crisis”; a “slap in the face to district courts.” www.nytimes.com/2025/10/11/u...
Food insecurity is rising in Washtenaw County. 1 in 7 neighbors struggle to access enough food. Ann Arbor Indivisible is partnering with Food Gatherers to help. Donate at Sunday’s meeting or at app.giveffect.com/campaigns/41.... Collections run through Nov. 23.

A blue collar, apolitical friend in Michigan is mad when, because of Trump ending the de minimis exemption, UPS surpised him by demanding a tariff payment before it would deliver a part he ordered on EBay from the Czech Republic.

This made it super clear to him who pays tariffs.

These folks have been protesting every week for 6 months.

"The "Toto, We're Not in America Anymore," protest drew roughly 249 people to Eau Claire's downtown federal courthouse according to a count by one of the organizers at the beginning of the protest."

Mark your calendars: Ann Arbor Indivisible and Ypsilanti Indivisible are excited to announce that our No Kings mass protest will be held in Ypsilanti, MI on October 18th.
A bit of Michigan common sense.
I like this. Since under RFK Jr, Covid shots are now for people with underlying conditions that put them at risk, Michigan’s chief medical executive Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian states that not having the most recent Covid shot constitutes such an underlying condition.

This is true. As our senator, what are you going to do about it?
Stand with the people who work at the VA Hospital in Ann Arbor as they fight for veterans' healthcare and a union contract. Trump cut the VA's budget, fired employees, and terminated the union's contract. Help pass H.R. 2550 to get it back.
