I spent so much time in the early PlayStation days, fascinated by ads for this, offering the promise to construct robots from the ground up and take them into battle. I picked up the sequel in an indie shop a few years ago. It's such a pile of shit.

I think it would be good if you could have a soldier ride the horse to take out enemies, but instead of taking the sense of agency and heroism away from the horse, they should present it like you've just added a new weapon to your mech in an Armored Core game

Watched a big thing about how uniquely good PS2 slim power adaptors are, and how you can power pretty much every pre-94 console with one wall socket by using splitters and converters. But I've already sorted this shit out, man. Don't make me think about it again.

Similar, but I think a more apt comparison is in how much work Shinkawa put into designing REX. Spent the game's pre-production building resin models and detailing how each component of it was powered and functioned through hundreds of sketches.
