Yes, I did that a few weeks back. I said I only had time for a half and the guy recommended a pint in plastic to take on the train as they had a special offer on pints

Yes, why take risks. I used to stop cycling a precautionionary two weeks before kerstbier after I came off once a week before and went over with fractured ribs. Unbearable, especially attempting to carry even light luggage

I hadn't used to but I'm more weather aware for cycling now. Not so long ago I ignored a BBC weather warning and rode over the moors to Buxton, it was hellish. Especially crosswinds and driving rain. Never again

Not got any breweriana from Showells - Breweries in Oldbury, Stockport & Stoke. Tankard in quite nice condition Acquired by Allsopp & Sons 1914. No doubt due to their extensive pubs in disparate areas from Bollington & Biddulph to Stourbridge

Ordinarily I'm a mid week stop in but a Monday evening sojourn in beautiful Knaresborough is vindicated. Blind Jacks has a brace of Two by Two on, a superb brewery (+ Bass available)

I normally visit the KWVR beer festival on a Friday but events conspired against me & meant a Sunday visit this year. No need to concern myself with reduced beer range. Select beers still still available & Craven NEIPA excellent.
