Holy cow! Three games left to go until the postseason. This probably locked us in for good, but wouldn't hurt to not lose the next two games (quad 4). RPI at 15 and still set to face 7 RPI San Diego at the end of the year. At the top of the WCC standings.
With the talent gap between us and the BIG/SEC getting wider every year, I'm really not that opposed to getting a coordinator from one of those schools
Suarez had his game, but so much of the lineup were just automatic outs this entire postseason. Pitching can only take you so far. This ain't on Dan, we need serious offensive upgrades
Got the win, but it should not have been this close
A draw leaves the RPI somewhat stagnant. Beavs are in a good position, but a loss in the next five games (3 Q3, 2 Q4) would tank our RPI. Last game is against RPI #4 San Diego
Thought Dalby leaving would spell the end for us, glad to see that Brookins is exceeding expectations. I am worried what happens next year though with Straudi, Farnos, and Cortijo all leaving. Similar to baseball, RPI is huge and we're ranked 13th atm
I keep seeing pac 12 fans dunking on UCLA as if the leading conspiracy theory at the time of Foster's hiring wasn't him being a rental until they agreed to a contract with the milkman. Until that spot is filled (not counting the interim), I'm holding my tongue.
Full honesty: I was subscribed to Oregon Live just for sports for like a month. Oram was the reason I never picked it back up. Every Beaver athletics article reads like a petulant child having to do a book report they didn't want to do. Did not want my money feeding that garbage.
Onto the next week.. time to drown my sorrows in overpriced rodeo beer
A brighter observation: Walker and Taz look amazing, the whole receiver room does.
I saw great improvements with our safeties, tackling, and run defense. Unfortunately our offense was a different story and more than a few mistakes were made by younger players. I think we were better than what the final score showed, but a lot of that was on coaching, Gundy needs to rethink things.
Haven't payed much attention to injuries and what not, but the Oline surprises me, for sure thought Cox, Timoteo, and Voltin would be first teamers. Any of them injured?
Does anyone know if DBU to the Pac as a baseball-only affiliate is true? Heard from Canzano, but haven't seen any additional confirmation.
Was when he committed, but still had a strong last few games
That Portland transfer we picked up went 4 for 4 today for the Bend Elks, currently the top average hitter in the WCL with .391 over 128 ABs. He'll push for a starting infield spot this year if his form holds up
5 minutes vs 2 hours of huckleberry picking
I probably should've worded it better, but I agree. The outfield is the only thing I got questions on. Our pitching is gonna be stellar and we got incoming talent inside and on offense.
So Krieg and Singer looking likely to return? Wonder what happens with Reeder and Wakefield as well. Non-zero chance Pike never makes it to campus either

Even with the worst case-scenario though, we'll have the incoming on-paper talent to build back up our outfield, might take a year to rebuild it
Happy Draft day for all baseball fans! Now time to see if the Beavs can hold onto some position players for another year. So far I've been more than impressed with our pitching additions in the portal, but I'm nervous about our bats.
Two more transfer additions in Jack Giordano and Josh Wakefield. Giordano is brand new to pitching and his stats at San Diego reflected that, but has intriguing upside. Wakefield has a chance to be our most consistent hitter and fills one of our outfield positions. We did not land Madrigal.
Beavs pick up Connor Mendez from Linn-Benton. So we replace Palmer and DeCremer with arguably the top reliever in the Big 10 and the top pitcher in Northwest JUCO.
