Since I also hate to sit on towels, I have big fluffy plaids on my sofa. Like you, I refuse to sit on terrycloth at home.

I’d say, why would it be okay to present the world with a “more perfect” version of yourself, if the real you is already great? And if the real you doesn’t suit your image of self, could you and would you want to put in the work to more resemble your image of self?
