Perhaps Kinger is a less sinister version of Il-Nam.

Old and senile, but often lucid to help ease the emotions of those around him.

Kinger could be an old ailing dev who created TADC, perhaps for friends and wife who have long since passed, and decided to simply stay for the remainder of his life.

In Squid Games, Il-Nam is a senile old man playing in the death games. He'd become lucid in key moments to guide players and even built deep friendships with those around him.

But it turns out he could leave the games, that he created, at any time, and only played because real life was boring.

In Ep 6, Kinger showed his creation power, possibly hinting at being a dev. What if Kinger created TADC, and knows the way out? But instead of wanting to leave like the others, he has a reason to stay?

It's upsetting to see how some people still have zero sympathy for Jax.

Yes, he's a piece of shit, but Jax's toxicity is a self-defense mechanism and we can see the toll it's taking on him this episode. The desire of wanting to make friends vs the fear of losing them again will soon break him...
