Books, cats, beer, ex-library staff, boomer, worried about...almost everything, I think. I have 11 delightful cats(they have me) and I read pretty much all the time. Please don’t DM me if we haven’t chatted beforehand. @landis_melinda

Build his palace on its bones.
You insult fuckers all over the world. Republicans (not all, I’m sure) are so much worse.

Chris Murphy: "There's a lot of history that has taken place in the East Wing & it was just destroyed without any conversation in the public, without any consent of Congress. It's absolutely illegal. That visual is powerful b/c you're watching destruction of the rule of law as those walls come down"
Did my dental trip. Why I’ve had extra time to read. Two crowns removed, teeth prepped, temp crowns on. Naturally on both sides so my whole face doesn’t feel great. We won’t discuss how it looks. Old croneish and tired.
Finished. Lots of fun. Giant dogs and cats, red raccoon type furry friends.
Great mcs with good voice. Dangerous bad guys with backstories. Looking forward to the next installment.
@ilonaandrews.bsky.social Reading The Inheritance, by Ilona Andrews. About 2/3rds done. Lots of excitement, dynamite illustrations. Nice mix of Sf&F. I’ve read others of hers and enjoyed. I’m interested to see where this series goes. Started as a novella? Not anymore.
Warning: This article contains discussion of cancer which some readers may find distressing.
Headline:”Mum, 39, who died following stage four bowel cancer shared symptoms she ignored before diagnosis”
So, there’s a trigger warning that the article talks about…cancer. Srsly.
John Wiswell is author. He wrote another about the Greek gods, fun.
Yesh. Bigly mistakes that we all will pay for.
Finished. Very nice ending. I would like 2 or 3 hundred more pages but…I’m so glad thoughtfulness won out over fear.
Maybe if very very light with the horseradish!

hello ok i am awake what did i miss
tell me every thing
I like to just chill and stay in one place. I’ve stayed here several times now. Ground floor room, beautiful home, wonderful hosts. Very restful.
They are keeping him (for free) for the next couple of days because I had to go to my School of Dentistry appointment and I always go night before and come home day after. Concern that his eyes weren’t kept lubricated during surgery or maybe anesthesia issues. BB and my Airbnb room, books, beer, food
Took BeetleBug for dental yesterday. When I checked him this morning (he had a canine and several other extractions, poor ginger boi) one pupil was totally dilated, the other pinpoint. Took him back to my vet and he has ulcers on both corneas, which is bad, but it could have been neurological.
Sweet. Accolades from a master.

Started What Talks the Deep. The cover art is stunning and I, who never read horror, am enjoying this as I did its predecessors. I can handle gross gory stuff, it’s the totally hopeless kind I don’t like. Read a few by accident, none of Kingfisher’s. Enamored of them.
I certainly thought it was. I only like horseradish in cocktail sauce.
